Question 1

Was $15,000 a good price for this 2017 BMW M6?

Accepted Answer

17 comparable 2017 BMW M6 listings sold at auction for a median of $11,300, spanning $7,400 to $15,000. At $15,000 this one went 33% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

What does a clear mean for this BMW M6?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 BMW M6 was sold on a clear. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 3

How far is this BMW M6 from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in CA - RANCHO CORDOVA. The nearest major vehicle export port is Long Beach, roughly 200 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $250-$350, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2017 BMW M6. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

Is 62,095 miles high for a 2017 BMW M6?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 BMW M6 listings at auction averaged 63,342 miles across 17 sales, so at 62,095 miles this one sits 2% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

Did this 2017 BMW M6 come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with left side damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.
