Question 1

This BMW M6 sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 2

How far is this BMW M6 from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in SC - SPARTANBURG. The nearest major vehicle export port is Charleston, roughly 130 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 3

What does "ENHANCED" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

ENHANCED is the auction's own condition note for this 2017 BMW M6. It marks a lot the auction has given extra listing prominence, not a statement about condition. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 4

Is 102,026 miles high for a 2017 BMW M6?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 BMW M6 listings at auction averaged 62,701 miles across 16 sales, so at 102,026 miles this one sits 63% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

Who sold this 2017 BMW M6?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was GEICO. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.

Question 6

What can I find out from VIN WBS6J9C36HD934825?

Accepted Answer

WBS6J9C36HD934825 identifies this specific 2017 BMW M6 in blue with a 4.4l 8 engine, rear wheel drive. This page covers its auction history only. For ownership, servicing and reported accidents, run the VIN through Carfax, AutoCheck or NMVTIS — those records are separate from ours and we cannot change them.
