Question 1

Was $12,300 a good price for this 2016 BMW M6?

Accepted Answer

52 comparable 2016 BMW M6 listings sold at auction for a median of $9,400, spanning $5,400 to $14,500. At $12,300 this one went 31% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

How much below its undamaged value did this BMW M6 sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2016 BMW M6's pre-damage retail value at $24,500. It sold for $12,300 — 50% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 3

What does a clean title mean for this BMW M6?

Accepted Answer

This 2016 BMW M6 was sold on a clean title. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 4

How far is this BMW M6 from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in IL - PEKIN. The nearest major vehicle export port is Baltimore, roughly 700 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $450-$675, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

Is 64,129 miles high for a 2016 BMW M6?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 BMW M6 listings at auction averaged 78,856 miles across 52 sales, so at 64,129 miles this one sits 19% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

Did this 2016 BMW M6 come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with mechanical damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.
