Question 1

Was $17,500 a good price for this 2016 BMW M6?

Accepted Answer

52 comparable 2016 BMW M6 listings sold at auction for a median of $9,200, spanning $5,200 to $13,800. At $17,500 this one went 90% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

What does a salvage mean for this BMW M6?

Accepted Answer

This 2016 BMW M6 was sold on a salvage. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 3

How far is this BMW M6 from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in NY - MEDFORD. The nearest major vehicle export port is Newark, roughly 160 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

This BMW M6 has left & right side and left rear damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 5

Is 60,423 miles high for a 2016 BMW M6?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 BMW M6 listings at auction averaged 78,856 miles across 52 sales, so at 60,423 miles this one sits 23% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2016 BMW M6. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.
