Question 1

Was $38,500 a good price for this 2022 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

1031 comparable 2022 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE-CLASS listings sold at auction for a median of $23,100, spanning $12,400 to $35,500. At $38,500 this one went 67% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

How much below its undamaged value did this MERCEDES-BENZ GLE-CLASS sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2022 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE-CLASS's pre-damage retail value at $97,366. It sold for $38,500 — 60% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 3

What does a cert of salvage < 75% damage mean for this MERCEDES-BENZ GLE-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

This 2022 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE-CLASS was sold on a cert of salvage < 75% damage. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 4

How far is this MERCEDES-BENZ GLE-CLASS from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in MD - BALTIMORE. The nearest major vehicle export port is Baltimore, roughly 40 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

This MERCEDES-BENZ GLE-CLASS has undercarriage and front end damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 6

Is 11,325 miles high for a 2022 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2022 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE-CLASS listings at auction averaged 47,916 miles across 1031 sales, so at 11,325 miles this one sits 76% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
