Question 1

What do front end 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 417 recorded sales of the 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS with front end damage, the median was $4,700, from $3,350 to $7,200. That is 3% below the $4,850 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $5,200 a good price for this 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

930 comparable 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS listings sold at auction for a median of $4,850, spanning $3,350 to $7,575. At $5,200 this one went 7% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

What does a certificate of title mean for this MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

This 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS was sold on a certificate of title. The title type is the auction's own classification and determines what can legally be done with the vehicle afterwards.

Question 4

What does "ENGINE START PROGRAM" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

ENGINE START PROGRAM is the auction's own condition note for this 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS. It is a short status flag applied by the auction, not the result of a mechanical inspection. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

How far is this MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in GA - MACON. The nearest major vehicle export port is Savannah, roughly 250 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $300-$450, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 6

Is 83,573 miles high for a 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS listings at auction averaged 97,450 miles across 930 sales, so at 83,573 miles this one sits 14% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
