Question 1

Was $16,400 a good price for this 2016 BMW M6?

Accepted Answer

52 comparable 2016 BMW M6 listings sold at auction for a median of $9,400, spanning $5,400 to $14,500. At $16,400 this one went 74% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

How much below its undamaged value did this BMW M6 sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2016 BMW M6's pre-damage retail value at $38,560. It sold for $16,400 — 57% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 3

What does a clean title mean for this BMW M6?

Accepted Answer

This 2016 BMW M6 was sold on a clean title. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 4

How far is this BMW M6 from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in NY - BROOKHAVEN. The nearest major vehicle export port is Newark, roughly 160 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

This BMW M6 has minor dent/scratches and normal wear damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 6

Is 58,645 miles high for a 2016 BMW M6?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 BMW M6 listings at auction averaged 78,856 miles across 52 sales, so at 58,645 miles this one sits 26% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
