Question 1

What do front end 2018 BMW M5 models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 82 recorded sales of the 2018 BMW M5 with front end damage, the median was $12,300, from $5,000 to $25,000. That is 9% below the $13,500 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $6,700 a good price for this 2018 BMW M5?

Accepted Answer

198 comparable 2018 BMW M5 listings sold at auction for a median of $13,500, spanning $5,700 to $24,400. At $6,700 this one went 50% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this BMW M5 sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2018 BMW M5's pre-damage retail value at $30,475. It sold for $6,700 — 78% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

How far is this BMW M5 from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in CT - NEW BRITAIN. The nearest major vehicle export port is Newark, roughly 120 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

What does a clean title mean for this BMW M5?

Accepted Answer

This 2018 BMW M5 was sold on a clean title. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 6

Did this 2018 BMW M5 come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with front end damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.
