Question 1

Was $12,200 a good price for this 2020 BMW M3?

Accepted Answer

159 comparable 2020 BMW M3 listings sold at auction for a median of $15,550, spanning $6,400 to $22,000. At $12,200 this one went 22% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

How much below its undamaged value did this BMW M3 sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2020 BMW M3's pre-damage retail value at $34,952. It sold for $12,200 — 65% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 3

What does a salvage certificate of title mean for this BMW M3?

Accepted Answer

This 2020 BMW M3 was sold on a salvage certificate of title. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 4

What does "ENHANCED" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

ENHANCED is the auction's own condition note for this 2020 BMW M3. It marks a lot the auction has given extra listing prominence, not a statement about condition. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

How far is this BMW M3 from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in NC - CHINA GROVE. The nearest major vehicle export port is Charleston, roughly 280 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $250-$325, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 6

This BMW M3 has burn and side damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.
