Question 1

What do all over 2018 BMW M3 models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 14 recorded sales of the 2018 BMW M3 with all over damage, the median was $10,500, from $8,850 to $20,300. That is 44% below the $18,650 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $22,500 a good price for this 2018 BMW M3?

Accepted Answer

215 comparable 2018 BMW M3 listings sold at auction for a median of $18,650, spanning $8,900 to $27,200. At $22,500 this one went 21% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this BMW M3 sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2018 BMW M3's pre-damage retail value at $47,384. It sold for $22,500 — 53% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does "RUNS AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUNS AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2018 BMW M3. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

What does a cert of salvage < 75% damage mean for this BMW M3?

Accepted Answer

This 2018 BMW M3 was sold on a cert of salvage < 75% damage. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 6

How far is this BMW M3 from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in DC - WASHINGTON DC. The nearest major vehicle export port is Baltimore, roughly 40 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.
