Question 1

What do front end 2011 BMW M3 models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 13 recorded sales of the 2011 BMW M3 with front end damage, the median was $7,950, from $5,400 to $10,000. That is 2% above the $7,800 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $8,700 a good price for this 2011 BMW M3?

Accepted Answer

29 comparable 2011 BMW M3 listings sold at auction for a median of $7,800, spanning $4,600 to $14,275. At $8,700 this one went 12% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this BMW M3 sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2011 BMW M3's pre-damage retail value at $26,353. It sold for $8,700 — 67% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does "ENGINE START PROGRAM" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

ENGINE START PROGRAM is the auction's own condition note for this 2011 BMW M3. It is a short status flag applied by the auction, not the result of a mechanical inspection. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

How far is this BMW M3 from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in GA - ATLANTA SOUTH. The nearest major vehicle export port is Savannah, roughly 250 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $300-$450, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 6

Is 94,950 miles high for a 2011 BMW M3?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2011 BMW M3 listings at auction averaged 113,390 miles across 29 sales, so at 94,950 miles this one sits 16% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
