Question 1

What do front end 2017 BMW M3 models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 49 recorded sales of the 2017 BMW M3 with front end damage, the median was $16,100, from $9,300 to $22,000. That is 5% above the $15,400 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $19,400 a good price for this 2017 BMW M3?

Accepted Answer

98 comparable 2017 BMW M3 listings sold at auction for a median of $15,400, spanning $8,125 to $23,600. At $19,400 this one went 26% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this BMW M3 sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2017 BMW M3's pre-damage retail value at $46,778. It sold for $19,400 — 59% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does a salvage title mean for this BMW M3?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 BMW M3 was sold on a salvage title. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 5

This BMW M3 has front end and minor dent/scratches damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 6

Is 44,512 miles high for a 2017 BMW M3?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 BMW M3 listings at auction averaged 61,721 miles across 98 sales, so at 44,512 miles this one sits 28% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
