Question 1

What do rear end 2020 TESLA MODEL Y models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 205 recorded sales of the 2020 TESLA MODEL Y with rear end damage, the median was $8,200, from $5,100 to $10,800. That is 4% above the $7,850 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $9,900 a good price for this 2020 TESLA MODEL Y?

Accepted Answer

1131 comparable 2020 TESLA MODEL Y listings sold at auction for a median of $7,850, spanning $4,850 to $11,400. At $9,900 this one went 26% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this TESLA MODEL Y sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2020 TESLA MODEL Y's pre-damage retail value at $27,979. It sold for $9,900 — 65% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

How far is this TESLA MODEL Y from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in MD - WALDORF. The nearest major vehicle export port is Baltimore, roughly 40 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

What does a salvage title mean for this TESLA MODEL Y?

Accepted Answer

This 2020 TESLA MODEL Y was sold on a salvage title. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 6

Is 45,657 miles high for a 2020 TESLA MODEL Y?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2020 TESLA MODEL Y listings at auction averaged 74,961 miles across 1131 sales, so at 45,657 miles this one sits 39% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
