Question 1

What do front end 2021 TESLA MODEL Y models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 1646 recorded sales of the 2021 TESLA MODEL Y with front end damage, the median was $8,100, from $4,750 to $12,000. That is 4% below the $8,400 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $12,700 a good price for this 2021 TESLA MODEL Y?

Accepted Answer

4023 comparable 2021 TESLA MODEL Y listings sold at auction for a median of $8,400, spanning $5,000 to $12,600. At $12,700 this one went 51% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

What does a clear-hi mean for this TESLA MODEL Y?

Accepted Answer

This 2021 TESLA MODEL Y was sold on a clear-hi. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 4

Is 31,063 miles high for a 2021 TESLA MODEL Y?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2021 TESLA MODEL Y listings at auction averaged 68,085 miles across 4023 sales, so at 31,063 miles this one sits 54% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2021 TESLA MODEL Y. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

This TESLA MODEL Y has front end and rear damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.
