What do mechanical 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS models sell for?

Across 16 recorded sales of the 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS with mechanical damage, the median was $4,550, from $3,250 to $7,000. That is 5% below the $4,800 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Was $4,600 a good price for this 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS?

941 comparable 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS listings sold at auction for a median of $4,800, spanning $3,350 to $7,500. At $4,600 this one went 4% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

How much below its undamaged value did this MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS sell for?

The insurer put this 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS's pre-damage retail value at $20,560. It sold for $4,600 — 78% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

How far is this MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS from an export port?

The lot sat at COPART in WA - GRAHAM. The nearest major vehicle export port is Tacoma, roughly 60 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

What does "ENGINE START PROGRAM" mean on this listing?

ENGINE START PROGRAM is the auction's own condition note for this 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS. It is a short status flag applied by the auction, not the result of a mechanical inspection. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Is 78,139 miles high for a 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS?

Comparable 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS listings at auction averaged 97,756 miles across 941 sales, so at 78,139 miles this one sits 20% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
