Question 1

What do minor dent/scratches 2013 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 10 recorded sales of the 2013 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS with minor dent/scratches damage, the median was $4,900, from $4,450 to $7,500. That is 2% above the $4,800 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $6,000 a good price for this 2013 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

36 comparable 2013 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS listings sold at auction for a median of $4,800, spanning $4,200 to $6,900. At $6,000 this one went 25% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2013 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS's pre-damage retail value at $12,000. It sold for $6,000 — 50% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does "RUNS AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUNS AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2013 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

Is 81,477 miles high for a 2013 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2013 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS listings at auction averaged 90,776 miles across 36 sales, so at 81,477 miles this one sits 10% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

This MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS has minor dent/scratches and normal wear damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.
