What do water/flood 2021 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS models sell for?

Across 39 recorded sales of the 2021 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS with water/flood damage, the median was $16,400, from $11,800 to $22,800. That is 3% below the $16,850 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Was $22,800 a good price for this 2021 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS?

573 comparable 2021 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS listings sold at auction for a median of $16,850, spanning $8,600 to $24,200. At $22,800 this one went 35% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

How much below its undamaged value did this MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS sell for?

The insurer put this 2021 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS's pre-damage retail value at $41,247. It sold for $22,800 — 45% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

How far is this MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS from an export port?

The lot sat at COPART in CA - VAN NUYS. The nearest major vehicle export port is Long Beach, roughly 200 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $250-$350, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

What does "RUNS AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

RUNS AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2021 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Did this 2021 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS come with keys?

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with water/flood damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.
