Question 1

What do water/flood 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 102 recorded sales of the 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS with water/flood damage, the median was $8,100, from $5,200 to $12,600. That is 14% below the $9,400 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $12,700 a good price for this 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

1344 comparable 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS listings sold at auction for a median of $9,400, spanning $5,100 to $14,900. At $12,700 this one went 35% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS's pre-damage retail value at $30,796. It sold for $12,700 — 59% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

How far is this MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in FL - WEST PALM BEACH. The nearest major vehicle export port is Jacksonville, roughly 200 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $250-$350, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

This MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS has water/flood and minor dent/scratches damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 6

Is 85,411 miles high for a 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS listings at auction averaged 79,615 miles across 1344 sales, so at 85,411 miles this one sits 7% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
