Question 1

What do side 2014 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 23 recorded sales of the 2014 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS with side damage, the median was $5,300, from $4,400 to $8,400. That is level with the $5,300 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $4,200 a good price for this 2014 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

236 comparable 2014 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS listings sold at auction for a median of $5,300, spanning $4,200 to $7,300. At $4,200 this one went 21% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2014 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS's pre-damage retail value at $7,655. It sold for $4,200 — 45% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does a cert of title-salvage mean for this MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

This 2014 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS was sold on a cert of title-salvage. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 5

Is 152,917 miles high for a 2014 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2014 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS listings at auction averaged 100,189 miles across 236 sales, so at 152,917 miles this one sits 53% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

This MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS has side and rear end damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.
