Question 1

What do front end 2017 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 876 recorded sales of the 2017 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS with front end damage, the median was $7,200, from $4,100 to $11,100. That is 4% below the $7,500 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $9,000 a good price for this 2017 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

1984 comparable 2017 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS listings sold at auction for a median of $7,500, spanning $4,150 to $11,700. At $9,000 this one went 20% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2017 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS's pre-damage retail value at $26,021. It sold for $9,000 — 65% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does a cert of title-salvage mean for this MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS was sold on a cert of title-salvage. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 5

How far is this MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in GA - ATLANTA WEST. The nearest major vehicle export port is Savannah, roughly 250 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $300-$450, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 6

Is 76,425 miles high for a 2017 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS listings at auction averaged 91,767 miles across 1984 sales, so at 76,425 miles this one sits 17% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
