Question 1

What do front end 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 628 recorded sales of the 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS with front end damage, the median was $9,000, from $4,600 to $13,500. That is 4% below the $9,400 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $8,900 a good price for this 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

1344 comparable 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS listings sold at auction for a median of $9,400, spanning $5,100 to $14,900. At $8,900 this one went 5% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS's pre-damage retail value at $20,611. It sold for $8,900 — 57% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does a cert of title-salvage mean for this MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

This 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS was sold on a cert of title-salvage. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 5

How far is this MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in LA - SHREVEPORT. The nearest major vehicle export port is New Orleans, roughly 130 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 6

Did this 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with front end damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.
