Question 1

What do front end 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 628 recorded sales of the 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS with front end damage, the median was $9,000, from $4,600 to $13,500. That is 4% below the $9,400 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $20,000 a good price for this 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

1344 comparable 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS listings sold at auction for a median of $9,400, spanning $5,100 to $14,900. At $20,000 this one went 113% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

What does a certificate of title mean for this MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

This 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS was sold on a certificate of title. The title type is the auction's own classification and determines what can legally be done with the vehicle afterwards.

Question 4

What does "RUNS AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUNS AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

This MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS has front end and side damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 6

Is 57,114 miles high for a 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS listings at auction averaged 79,615 miles across 1344 sales, so at 57,114 miles this one sits 28% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
