Question 1

Was $6,475 a good price for this 2015 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE?

Accepted Answer

91 comparable 2015 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE listings sold at auction for a median of $4,300, spanning $3,175 to $6,700. At $6,475 this one went 51% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

What does a clear-il mean for this JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE?

Accepted Answer

This 2015 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE was sold on a clear-il. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 3

How far is this JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in IL - RANDOLPH. The nearest major vehicle export port is Baltimore, roughly 700 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $450-$675, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

What does "NOT RUN" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

NOT RUN is the auction's own condition note for this 2015 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

This JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE has normal wear & tear and mechanical damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 6

Is 87,619 miles high for a 2015 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2015 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE listings at auction averaged 118,928 miles across 91 sales, so at 87,619 miles this one sits 26% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
