Question 1

What do normal wear & tear 2018 FORD ESCAPE models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 298 recorded sales of the 2018 FORD ESCAPE with normal wear & tear damage, the median was $6,800, from $3,250 to $10,950. That is 79% above the $3,800 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2018 FORD ESCAPE. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 3

This FORD ESCAPE has normal wear & tear and front end damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 4

Is 114,817 miles high for a 2018 FORD ESCAPE?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2018 FORD ESCAPE listings at auction averaged 72,409 miles across 2068 sales, so at 114,817 miles this one sits 59% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

What can I find out from VIN 1FMCU9GDXJUD12279?

Accepted Answer

1FMCU9GDXJUD12279 identifies this specific 2018 FORD ESCAPE in red with a 1.5l i-4 di, dohc, vvt, turbo, regular , 179hp engine, all wheel drive. This page covers its auction history only. For ownership, servicing and reported accidents, run the VIN through Carfax, AutoCheck or NMVTIS — those records are separate from ours and we cannot change them.

Question 6

Did this 2018 FORD ESCAPE come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with normal wear & tear damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.
