Question 1

Was $47,500 a good price for this 2025 BMW Z4?

Accepted Answer

19 comparable 2025 BMW Z4 listings sold at auction for a median of $23,575, spanning $4,650 to $32,750. At $47,500 this one went 101% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

This BMW Z4 sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 3

What does a clean title mean for this BMW Z4?

Accepted Answer

This 2025 BMW Z4 was sold on a clean title. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 4

How far is this BMW Z4 from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in CT - EAST GRANBY. The nearest major vehicle export port is Newark, roughly 120 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

Is 1,286 miles high for a 2025 BMW Z4?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2025 BMW Z4 listings at auction averaged 7,555 miles across 19 sales, so at 1,286 miles this one sits 83% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2025 BMW Z4. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.
