Question 1

Was $9,000 a good price for this 2011 BMW X6?

Accepted Answer

14 comparable 2011 BMW X6 listings sold at auction for a median of $5,300, spanning $4,000 to $8,500. At $9,000 this one went 70% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

How much below its undamaged value did this BMW X6 sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2011 BMW X6's pre-damage retail value at $10,500. It sold for $9,000 — 14% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 3

What does "RUNS AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUNS AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2011 BMW X6. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 4

This BMW X6 has normal wear and minor dent/scratches damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 5

Is 230,447 miles high for a 2011 BMW X6?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2011 BMW X6 listings at auction averaged 119,598 miles across 14 sales, so at 230,447 miles this one sits 93% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

Where was this BMW X6 located?

Accepted Answer

The lot was held at COPART CANADA in AB - CALGARY. Location sets the inland transport cost to a port or a repair shop, and state title rules differ, so two otherwise identical cars can be worth noticeably different amounts.
