Question 1

What do minor dent/scratches 2017 BMW X5 models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 176 recorded sales of the 2017 BMW X5 with minor dent/scratches damage, the median was $8,500, from $5,200 to $14,600. That is 16% above the $7,300 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $7,700 a good price for this 2017 BMW X5?

Accepted Answer

1776 comparable 2017 BMW X5 listings sold at auction for a median of $7,300, spanning $4,050 to $12,300. At $7,700 this one went 5% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this BMW X5 sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2017 BMW X5's pre-damage retail value at $18,975. It sold for $7,700 — 59% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

How far is this BMW X5 from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in FL - WEST PALM BEACH. The nearest major vehicle export port is Jacksonville, roughly 200 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $250-$350, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

What does a salvage title mean for this BMW X5?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 BMW X5 was sold on a salvage title. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 6

Is 25,416 miles high for a 2017 BMW X5?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 BMW X5 listings at auction averaged 106,096 miles across 1776 sales, so at 25,416 miles this one sits 76% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
