Was $4,500 a good price for this 2015 BMW X5?

309 comparable 2015 BMW X5 listings sold at auction for a median of $7,700, spanning $4,900 to $12,300. At $4,500 this one went 42% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

How much below its undamaged value did this BMW X5 sell for?

The insurer put this 2015 BMW X5's pre-damage retail value at $13,640. It sold for $4,500 — 67% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

What does a other (new york) mean for this BMW X5?

This 2015 BMW X5 was sold on a other (new york). The title type is the auction's own classification and determines what can legally be done with the vehicle afterwards.

What does "Run & Drive" mean on this listing?

Run & Drive is the auction's own condition note for this 2015 BMW X5. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Is 166,231 miles high for a 2015 BMW X5?

Comparable 2015 BMW X5 listings at auction averaged 116,960 miles across 309 sales, so at 166,231 miles this one sits 42% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Who sold this 2015 BMW X5?

The listing seller was State Farm Group Insurance. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.
