Question 1

Was $5,925 a good price for this 2012 BMW X5?

Accepted Answer

41 comparable 2012 BMW X5 listings sold at auction for a median of $4,650, spanning $4,000 to $5,925. At $5,925 this one went 27% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

What does a clear (california) mean for this BMW X5?

Accepted Answer

This 2012 BMW X5 was sold on a clear (california). A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 3

What does "Run & Drive" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

Run & Drive is the auction's own condition note for this 2012 BMW X5. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 4

This BMW X5 has front end and damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 5

Is 94,977 miles high for a 2012 BMW X5?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2012 BMW X5 listings at auction averaged 122,866 miles across 41 sales, so at 94,977 miles this one sits 23% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

Who sold this 2012 BMW X5?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was Charitable Adult Rides & Services. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.
