Question 1

What do minor dent/scratches 2014 BMW X5 models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 19 recorded sales of the 2014 BMW X5 with minor dent/scratches damage, the median was $10,950, from $6,500 to $12,000. That is 50% above the $7,300 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

What does a certificate of title (p) mean for this BMW X5?

Accepted Answer

This 2014 BMW X5 was sold on a certificate of title (p). The title type is the auction's own classification and determines what can legally be done with the vehicle afterwards.

Question 3

How far is this BMW X5 from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in MN - MINNEAPOLIS. The nearest major vehicle export port is Baltimore, roughly 1,100 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $725-$1,050, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

What does "RUNS AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUNS AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2014 BMW X5. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

Is 144,820 miles high for a 2014 BMW X5?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2014 BMW X5 listings at auction averaged 118,810 miles across 147 sales, so at 144,820 miles this one sits 22% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

Did this 2014 BMW X5 come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with minor dent/scratches damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.
