Question 1

What do front end 2021 BMW X5 models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 446 recorded sales of the 2021 BMW X5 with front end damage, the median was $20,900, from $12,800 to $30,750. That is 2% below the $21,388 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $29,700 a good price for this 2021 BMW X5?

Accepted Answer

1025 comparable 2021 BMW X5 listings sold at auction for a median of $21,388, spanning $11,700 to $32,000. At $29,700 this one went 39% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How far is this BMW X5 from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in OR - EUGENE. The nearest major vehicle export port is Tacoma, roughly 180 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $225-$325, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2021 BMW X5. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

Who sold this 2021 BMW X5?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was STATE FARM INSURANCE. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.

Question 6

Is 38,348 miles high for a 2021 BMW X5?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2021 BMW X5 listings at auction averaged 57,161 miles across 1025 sales, so at 38,348 miles this one sits 33% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
