Question 1

What do water/flood 2018 BMW X5 models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 20 recorded sales of the 2018 BMW X5 with water/flood damage, the median was $8,100, from $3,200 to $23,100. That is 2% below the $8,238 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $7,900 a good price for this 2018 BMW X5?

Accepted Answer

1629 comparable 2018 BMW X5 listings sold at auction for a median of $8,238, spanning $4,500 to $14,200. At $7,900 this one went 4% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this BMW X5 sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2018 BMW X5's pre-damage retail value at $20,297. It sold for $7,900 — 61% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

This BMW X5 has water/flood and top/roof damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 5

Is 70,802 miles high for a 2018 BMW X5?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2018 BMW X5 listings at auction averaged 92,290 miles across 1629 sales, so at 70,802 miles this one sits 23% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2018 BMW X5. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.
