Was $12,000 a good price for this 2015 BMW X5?

313 comparable 2015 BMW X5 listings sold at auction for a median of $7,700, spanning $4,900 to $12,200. At $12,000 this one went 56% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

How much below its undamaged value did this BMW X5 sell for?

The insurer put this 2015 BMW X5's pre-damage retail value at $20,338. It sold for $12,000 — 41% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Is 126,911 miles high for a 2015 BMW X5?

Comparable 2015 BMW X5 listings at auction averaged 117,041 miles across 313 sales, so at 126,911 miles this one sits 8% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Who sold this 2015 BMW X5?

The listing seller was North Carolina Farm Bureau Insurance Group. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.

Did this 2015 BMW X5 come with keys?

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with left side damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.
