Question 1

Was $6,975 a good price for this 2014 BMW X5?

Accepted Answer

150 comparable 2014 BMW X5 listings sold at auction for a median of $7,300, spanning $4,750 to $11,500. At $6,975 this one went 4% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

How much below its undamaged value did this BMW X5 sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2014 BMW X5's pre-damage retail value at $8,625. It sold for $6,975 — 19% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 3

What does a clear (illinois) mean for this BMW X5?

Accepted Answer

This 2014 BMW X5 was sold on a clear (illinois). A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 4

This BMW X5 has unknown and damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 5

What does "Stationary" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

Stationary is the auction's own condition note for this 2014 BMW X5. It is a short status flag applied by the auction, not the result of a mechanical inspection. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

Is 98,437 miles high for a 2014 BMW X5?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2014 BMW X5 listings at auction averaged 119,219 miles across 150 sales, so at 98,437 miles this one sits 17% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
