Question 1

What do rear 2018 BMW X5 models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 61 recorded sales of the 2018 BMW X5 with rear damage, the median was $9,800, from $5,100 to $14,000. That is 20% above the $8,200 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $12,100 a good price for this 2018 BMW X5?

Accepted Answer

1650 comparable 2018 BMW X5 listings sold at auction for a median of $8,200, spanning $4,500 to $14,100. At $12,100 this one went 48% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How far is this BMW X5 from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in SC - RAVENEL. The nearest major vehicle export port is Charleston, roughly 130 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

Is 106,628 miles high for a 2018 BMW X5?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2018 BMW X5 listings at auction averaged 92,538 miles across 1650 sales, so at 106,628 miles this one sits 15% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

Who sold this 2018 BMW X5?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was PROGRESSIVE. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.

Question 6

Did this 2018 BMW X5 come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with rear damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.
