Question 1

Was $6,200 a good price for this 2015 BMW X5?

Accepted Answer

309 comparable 2015 BMW X5 listings sold at auction for a median of $7,700, spanning $4,900 to $12,300. At $6,200 this one went 19% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

What does a cert of salvage > 75% damage mean for this BMW X5?

Accepted Answer

This 2015 BMW X5 was sold on a cert of salvage > 75% damage. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 3

How far is this BMW X5 from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in MD - BALTIMORE. The nearest major vehicle export port is Baltimore, roughly 40 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

Is 84,060 miles high for a 2015 BMW X5?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2015 BMW X5 listings at auction averaged 116,960 miles across 309 sales, so at 84,060 miles this one sits 28% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

This BMW X5 has missing/altered vin and vandalism damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 6

Did this 2015 BMW X5 come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with missing/altered vin damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.
