Question 1

What do minor dent/scratches 2016 BMW X5 models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 243 recorded sales of the 2016 BMW X5 with minor dent/scratches damage, the median was $7,300, from $4,550 to $14,100. That is 13% above the $6,488 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

This BMW X5 sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 3

What does a clean title mean for this BMW X5?

Accepted Answer

This 2016 BMW X5 was sold on a clean title. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 4

How far is this BMW X5 from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in TX - WILMER. The nearest major vehicle export port is Houston, roughly 200 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $250-$350, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

What does "ENHANCED" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

ENHANCED is the auction's own condition note for this 2016 BMW X5. It marks a lot the auction has given extra listing prominence, not a statement about condition. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

Is 197,681 miles high for a 2016 BMW X5?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 BMW X5 listings at auction averaged 112,065 miles across 1880 sales, so at 197,681 miles this one sits 76% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
