Question 1

What do water/flood 2021 BMW X5 models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 31 recorded sales of the 2021 BMW X5 with water/flood damage, the median was $20,400, from $13,500 to $31,250. That is 4% below the $21,313 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $22,600 a good price for this 2021 BMW X5?

Accepted Answer

1027 comparable 2021 BMW X5 listings sold at auction for a median of $21,313, spanning $11,700 to $32,000. At $22,600 this one went 6% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

This BMW X5 sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 4

What does a salvage title mean for this BMW X5?

Accepted Answer

This 2021 BMW X5 was sold on a salvage title. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 5

How much below its undamaged value did this BMW X5 sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2021 BMW X5's pre-damage retail value at $53,778. It sold for $22,600 — 58% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 6

Is 59,608 miles high for a 2021 BMW X5?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2021 BMW X5 listings at auction averaged 57,443 miles across 1027 sales, so at 59,608 miles this one sits 4% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
