Question 1

What do mechanical 2016 BMW X5 models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 118 recorded sales of the 2016 BMW X5 with mechanical damage, the median was $6,100, from $3,600 to $12,100. That is 3% below the $6,300 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $3,850 a good price for this 2016 BMW X5?

Accepted Answer

1929 comparable 2016 BMW X5 listings sold at auction for a median of $6,300, spanning $3,650 to $11,200. At $3,850 this one went 39% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

What does a clear mean for this BMW X5?

Accepted Answer

This 2016 BMW X5 was sold on a clear. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 4

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2016 BMW X5. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

How far is this BMW X5 from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in WA - PUYALLUP. The nearest major vehicle export port is Tacoma, roughly 60 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 6

Is 131,069 miles high for a 2016 BMW X5?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 BMW X5 listings at auction averaged 112,337 miles across 1929 sales, so at 131,069 miles this one sits 17% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
