Question 1

What do mechanical 2017 BMW X3 models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 26 recorded sales of the 2017 BMW X3 with mechanical damage, the median was $4,100, from $3,050 to $5,500. That is 5% below the $4,300 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $3,500 a good price for this 2017 BMW X3?

Accepted Answer

1145 comparable 2017 BMW X3 listings sold at auction for a median of $4,300, spanning $3,200 to $6,800. At $3,500 this one went 19% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this BMW X3 sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2017 BMW X3's pre-damage retail value at $13,031. It sold for $3,500 — 73% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

How far is this BMW X3 from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in NV - LAS VEGAS. The nearest major vehicle export port is Long Beach, roughly 350 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $300-$425, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

What does a clean title mean for this BMW X3?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 BMW X3 was sold on a clean title. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 6

Is 138,157 miles high for a 2017 BMW X3?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 BMW X3 listings at auction averaged 91,591 miles across 1145 sales, so at 138,157 miles this one sits 51% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
