Question 1

Was $9,150 a good price for this 2016 BMW X3?

Accepted Answer

608 comparable 2016 BMW X3 listings sold at auction for a median of $4,200, spanning $3,150 to $6,700. At $9,150 this one went 118% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

How much below its undamaged value did this BMW X3 sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2016 BMW X3's pre-damage retail value at $20,922. It sold for $9,150 — 56% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 3

What does "Run & Drive" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

Run & Drive is the auction's own condition note for this 2016 BMW X3. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 4

Is 54,850 miles high for a 2016 BMW X3?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 BMW X3 listings at auction averaged 95,094 miles across 608 sales, so at 54,850 miles this one sits 42% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

Did this 2016 BMW X3 come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with left & right side damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.

Question 6

Who sold this 2016 BMW X3?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was State Farm Group Insurance. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.
