Question 1

How much below its undamaged value did this BMW X3 sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2012 BMW X3's pre-damage retail value at $11,879. It sold for $5,525 — 53% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 2

What does a other (california) mean for this BMW X3?

Accepted Answer

This 2012 BMW X3 was sold on a other (california). The title type is the auction's own classification and determines what can legally be done with the vehicle afterwards.

Question 3

What does "Run & Drive" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

Run & Drive is the auction's own condition note for this 2012 BMW X3. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 4

This BMW X3 has right front and damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 5

Who sold this 2012 BMW X3?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was State Farm Group Insurance. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.

Question 6

Did this 2012 BMW X3 come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with right front damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.
