Question 1

What do minor dent/scratches 2017 BMW X3 models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 58 recorded sales of the 2017 BMW X3 with minor dent/scratches damage, the median was $4,700, from $3,400 to $7,000. That is 10% above the $4,288 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $6,500 a good price for this 2017 BMW X3?

Accepted Answer

1155 comparable 2017 BMW X3 listings sold at auction for a median of $4,288, spanning $3,200 to $6,800. At $6,500 this one went 52% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

What does a dealer only clean title mean for this BMW X3?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 BMW X3 was sold on a dealer only clean title. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 4

What does "RUNS AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUNS AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2017 BMW X3. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

Is 186,794 miles high for a 2017 BMW X3?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 BMW X3 listings at auction averaged 91,510 miles across 1155 sales, so at 186,794 miles this one sits 104% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

How far is this BMW X3 from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in NC - RALEIGH. The nearest major vehicle export port is Charleston, roughly 280 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $250-$325, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.
