Question 1

Was $15,400 a good price for this 2018 BMW X3?

Accepted Answer

1081 comparable 2018 BMW X3 listings sold at auction for a median of $8,500, spanning $5,400 to $12,800. At $15,400 this one went 81% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

This BMW X3 sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 3

Is 102,140 miles high for a 2018 BMW X3?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2018 BMW X3 listings at auction averaged 87,137 miles across 1081 sales, so at 102,140 miles this one sits 17% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 4

Who sold this 2018 BMW X3?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was FARMERS INSURANCE. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.

Question 5

Can I buy this 2018 BMW X3 from AutoBidCar?

Accepted Answer

No. AutoBidCar is an archive of past auction listings, not a seller — we have never owned this vehicle. This 2018 BMW X3 was listed at IAAI as lot 44152949 and any sale happened there. We publish the record so buyers can research what comparable vehicles actually sold for.

Question 6

What can I find out from VIN 5UXTS3C53JLA46035?

Accepted Answer

5UXTS3C53JLA46035 identifies this specific 2018 BMW X3 with a 3.0l i-6 di, dohc, vvt, turbo, 355hp engine, all wheel drive. This page covers its auction history only. For ownership, servicing and reported accidents, run the VIN through Carfax, AutoCheck or NMVTIS — those records are separate from ours and we cannot change them.
