Question 1

What do front & rear 2018 BMW X1 models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 12 recorded sales of the 2018 BMW X1 with front & rear damage, the median was $4,250, from $3,100 to $5,500. That is 4% below the $4,450 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $4,950 a good price for this 2018 BMW X1?

Accepted Answer

853 comparable 2018 BMW X1 listings sold at auction for a median of $4,450, spanning $3,200 to $6,900. At $4,950 this one went 11% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

What does a salvage mean for this BMW X1?

Accepted Answer

This 2018 BMW X1 was sold on a salvage. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 4

What does "NOT RUN" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

NOT RUN is the auction's own condition note for this 2018 BMW X1. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

How far is this BMW X1 from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in NJ - STATEN ISLAND. The nearest major vehicle export port is Newark, roughly 30 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 6

Is 79,023 miles high for a 2018 BMW X1?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2018 BMW X1 listings at auction averaged 81,963 miles across 853 sales, so at 79,023 miles this one sits 4% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
