Question 1

Was $13,200 a good price for this 2019 BMW M5?

Accepted Answer

228 comparable 2019 BMW M5 listings sold at auction for a median of $17,300, spanning $6,900 to $30,750. At $13,200 this one went 24% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

How much below its undamaged value did this BMW M5 sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2019 BMW M5's pre-damage retail value at $33,064. It sold for $13,200 — 60% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 3

What does a salvage title mean for this BMW M5?

Accepted Answer

This 2019 BMW M5 was sold on a salvage title. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 4

How far is this BMW M5 from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in NJ - HILLSBOROUGH. The nearest major vehicle export port is Newark, roughly 30 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2019 BMW M5. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

This BMW M5 has top/roof and side damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.
