Question 1

What do front end 2018 BMW M5 models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 84 recorded sales of the 2018 BMW M5 with front end damage, the median was $12,300, from $5,100 to $25,500. That is 9% below the $13,550 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

This BMW M5 sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 3

How far is this BMW M5 from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in NY - MEDFORD. The nearest major vehicle export port is Newark, roughly 160 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

What does "NOT RUN" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

NOT RUN is the auction's own condition note for this 2018 BMW M5. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

Is 59,611 miles high for a 2018 BMW M5?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2018 BMW M5 listings at auction averaged 70,382 miles across 201 sales, so at 59,611 miles this one sits 15% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

Can I buy this 2018 BMW M5 from AutoBidCar?

Accepted Answer

No. AutoBidCar is an archive of past auction listings, not a seller — we have never owned this vehicle. This 2018 BMW M5 was listed at IAAI as lot 42265806 and any sale happened there. We publish the record so buyers can research what comparable vehicles actually sold for.
