Question 1

What do all over 2023 BMW M4 models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 13 recorded sales of the 2023 BMW M4 with all over damage, the median was $20,225, from $12,100 to $36,250. That is 27% below the $27,625 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $12,100 a good price for this 2023 BMW M4?

Accepted Answer

153 comparable 2023 BMW M4 listings sold at auction for a median of $27,625, spanning $13,100 to $42,750. At $12,100 this one went 56% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

This BMW M4 sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 4

How far is this BMW M4 from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in NY - BROOKHAVEN. The nearest major vehicle export port is Newark, roughly 160 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

How much below its undamaged value did this BMW M4 sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2023 BMW M4's pre-damage retail value at $70,000. It sold for $12,100 — 83% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 6

Is 18,111 miles high for a 2023 BMW M4?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2023 BMW M4 listings at auction averaged 22,958 miles across 153 sales, so at 18,111 miles this one sits 21% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
