Was $38,000 a good price for this 2023 BMW M3?

296 comparable 2023 BMW M3 listings sold at auction for a median of $28,500, spanning $13,600 to $51,000. At $38,000 this one went 33% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

How much below its undamaged value did this BMW M3 sell for?

The insurer put this 2023 BMW M3's pre-damage retail value at $118,883. It sold for $38,000 — 68% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

What does a other (illinois) mean for this BMW M3?

This 2023 BMW M3 was sold on a other (illinois). The title type is the auction's own classification and determines what can legally be done with the vehicle afterwards.

This BMW M3 has all over and suspension damage — how does that affect it?

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

What does "Stationary" mean on this listing?

Stationary is the auction's own condition note for this 2023 BMW M3. It is a short status flag applied by the auction, not the result of a mechanical inspection. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Is 4,252 miles high for a 2023 BMW M3?

Comparable 2023 BMW M3 listings at auction averaged 24,220 miles across 296 sales, so at 4,252 miles this one sits 82% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
