Question 1

What do all over 2021 BMW M3 models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 11 recorded sales of the 2021 BMW M3 with all over damage, the median was $15,950, from $8,900 to $27,250. That is 18% below the $19,450 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $9,600 a good price for this 2021 BMW M3?

Accepted Answer

219 comparable 2021 BMW M3 listings sold at auction for a median of $19,450, spanning $9,100 to $35,500. At $9,600 this one went 51% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

This BMW M3 sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 4

What does a public - salvage title mean for this BMW M3?

Accepted Answer

This 2021 BMW M3 was sold on a public - salvage title. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 5

How much below its undamaged value did this BMW M3 sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2021 BMW M3's pre-damage retail value at $45,683. It sold for $9,600 — 79% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 6

Is 34,821 miles high for a 2021 BMW M3?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2021 BMW M3 listings at auction averaged 45,066 miles across 219 sales, so at 34,821 miles this one sits 23% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
